To do this we thought of creating and strengthening the connections that bind together some disciplines of the world of work. At G2M we strongly believe in teamwork and what is already linked and interconnected can be further improved. Our secret is to operate in an unexpected way, more suitable to create alternative routes of revival than actual rules. Every company must “discover” its potential, not only in the strategies characterising it, but also in the ideas and skills that individuals offer.
Our idea is based on adding value and enhancing the interconnection between HEALTH and SAFETY, OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE and IT. Some items binding these 3 areas are already known, yet others not so much. These, if well used, can become the basis of radical change strategies in people and companies.
Let’s try listing these 3 areas:
G2M has simply incorporated it into a relationship with companies.
Reduced activity and COVID-19 has traumatized and slowed us down, but mostly caught us unprepared. Now that restrictions start loosening, companies and all of us are asked to start again. At G2M we rather think about carrying on because the challenge is great. The future is even more challenging because of the uncertainity of the evolution of the virus and its potential social, political and fiscal impacts.
To carry on with what time and experience have taught us requires more than just a return to normality. The pandemic – being long and unpredictable – is fundamentally transforming the economy with sudden changes in cultural norms, in the values of society and in people’s behaviour. In order to be able to restart and overcome uncertainty, companies will have to define reinvention programs that create stability and trust.
We think that this situation offers companies the opportunity to develop those skills that they should have invested on before the pandemic: being more preventive, solid, proud of their product and their company, as well as being more digital and much more aware of the importance of the natural and professional family. Investing in structures with variable costs, transforming operations into more agile and IT activities, having more robust human capabilities in innovation and security. This agility will be decisive in the long term because in the end building means never closing your own internal construction site. the world needs “ building sites of ideas ”always open, “workshops of innovativethought”always productive, “laboratories of renewal and change”always active and operating in a visionary way. That is, projected towards the future and towards goals that can be found elsewhere. It will be like going to space, like looking for something on the Moon.
WE PROPOSE A STRATEGY TO THE LEADERS AND VALUERS OF EACH COMPANY THROUGH THREE PROPOSALS:
Given the possible scenarios, companies will have to be ready to change direction and move towards more challenging goals. The measures taken to restart should be easily reversible and scalable. We can achieve this with our Targeted Assessments organised with top managers and with corporate board of directors.
Companies will have to further improve the workplace by making it safer and more secure, communicate transparently with their people and create an atmosphere of mutual trust. This with our extraordinary “original and unusual” training packages in the program WE’RE FAMILY or HEALTH & SAFETY IT’S ME! Integrated with state-of-the-art IT tools such as the TOTEM and Health Card.
Companies should not start from where they stopped but continue their path, improving it. To proceed while innovating is an opportunity to create a better future for employees and clients. This is a G2M statement.
Today this crisis is showing us how a greater empathy at work can make a difference. If companies want to create productive, inclusive and rewarding workplaces in the long term, they need to go beyond the transactional aspect and really understand their employees. To have a conversation with them and take advantage of their creativity and knowledge while creating inclusion.
The world of work is starting up again, but the family of each worker, where people’s projects reside, must be supported and recognised by companies. This does not mean sponsoring the projects of individuals but forcefully request everyone to make that necessary change at work in order to be more productive in total safety and maintain maximum health. The personal projects of individuals become the lever through which companies can make safety in the workplace sustainable. Policies need to be reviewed, focusing on family groups and supporting the importance of the professional family. This is also and especially for people with disabilities and single parents or singles in general.
Listen to them and give quick answers. Identifying with them, putting them at the center of every design. Building more personal and less transactional experiences. Enable every form of cloud usage. Adopt new ways to stimulate innovation in the use of data and strategies. Reinvent safety and occupational work with agile tools, easily accessible through the use of the smartphone. Building agile autonomy in training and technology
